Jersey
The Channel Islands are made up of Jersey, Guernsey, Sark, Alderney and Herm are situated in the English Channel
approximately 14 miles from the coast of France and 100 miles from the south of England. The island of Jersey is
the largest measuring 45 square miles and has an approximate population of 95,000.
Jersey is not part of the UK and neither does it belong to the European Union however is part of the British Isles.
Jersey has its own government, judiciary and fiscal systems.
Jersey's main economy is derived from finance however tourism and agriculture still remain important to the Island.
